In order to become a registered installer with BIKBBI, a company has to meet the following requirements...
*A minimum of 3 years experience
verfied via reference checking and previous work site inspection
*Applicants must have no record of unspent bankruptcy, verifed by Companies House
*Applicants must be eligible to legitimately work in the UK, verifed via HMRC cross referencing
*Applicants must agree to onsite inspection, throughout their membership tenure
*Applicants must present and maintain Public Liability Insurance with a £2m minimum indemnity
*Members and their installers must present DBS Basic Certification
relation to criminal records
*Kitchen installers must be registered with/sub-contract to Gas Safe Register
engineers
*Kitchen and bathroom installers must be registered with/sub-contract to an electrical Competent Person Scheme
*Members must complete and present
Asbestos Awareness Cerfication
annually
*Agreement to the Terms and Conditions
of membership and the general BIKBBI privacy policy
*Members must agree to work within the scope of the BIKBBI Members Code of Conduct
at all times
*In the event of a consumer dispute, members must agree to cooperate with the ADR service.
